Ing World University Go Championship & 16th Chang Qi Cup

This year the World University Go Championship will be held at The University of Sydney, Australia from July 7th to July 13th 2019. In addition, the semi-finals of the 16th Chang Qi Cup, China’s preeminent tournament for Professional Go Champions will take place on July 10th and 11th. Visitors are welcome and can watch the University student games.

2019 South Australia Open

The South Australia Championships will be hosted by the Adelaide Go Club. There will be two divisions - Open division (1d to 7d), 60 minutes main time + 30 seconds byoyomi, five rounds over two days. Handicap division (25k to 1k), 30 minutes main time +30 seconds byoyomi, five rounds on the first day.Japanese rules and counting, 6.5 points komi. Entry fee, venue, timetable and other details to be advised.

  Cecil Kuo was a member of the Brisbane Go Club from at least 1990, a life member of the Queensland Go Society, an avid player and passionate teacher of go. He was a common sight at the Brisbane Go Club, and always a pleasure to talk to and play with, often with his close friend Sam Nakagawa. Coronavirus Cup

The Coronavirus Cup will be held online on the OGS go server. Games will be played at live speed, with draws announced via the QGS Discord, although it is open to all Go players in Australia.
