NSW State Championships
Tournament Director & Referee David Mitchell is the Tournament Director; the Tournament Referee is An Younggil 8P Entry fee $30 - a discount rate of $20 for students and pensioners. Includes lunch. The 2019 NSW Junior's Championship will be held on Sunday June 23rd at the Hanho Newspaper, 370, Blaxland Road, Eastwood. Registration closes at 9:00am with games commencing at 9:30am. The closing ceremony and prize giving will be after the final round is complete (approx 3:30pm).
All players 16 or under are encouraged to take part; Division1 is for 9 kyu and stronger, division 2 for 10kyu and weaker - the games will be played with a handicap and the cost of entry includes soft drink and lunch. There are prizes and certificates for the winners and all players will be assessed and issued with AGA ranking certificates.
Each child must have parent or carer must be present, (a carer can be responsible for more than one child).

Ing World University Go Championship & 16th Chang Qi Cup
This year the World University Go Championship will be held at The University of Sydney, Australia from July 7th to July 13th 2019. In addition, the semi-finals of the 16th Chang Qi Cup, China’s preeminent tournament for Professional Go Champions will take place on July 10th and 11th. Visitors are welcome and can watch the University student games.

The Korean Ambassador's Cup will be held at the offices of the Hanho Korean Daily Newspaper in Eastwood on Sunday August 11th from 8:30am; Registration closes at 9:00am with the Prize Presentation at 5:45pm.

The South Australia Championships will be hosted by the Adelaide Go Club. There will be two divisions - Open division (1d to 7d), 60 minutes main time + 30 seconds byoyomi, five rounds over two days. Handicap division (25k to 1k), 30 minutes main time +30 seconds byoyomi, five rounds on the first day.Japanese rules and counting, 6.5 points komi. Cecil Kuo was a member of the Brisbane Go Club from at least 1990, a life member of the Queensland Go Society, an avid player and passionate teacher of go. He was a common sight at the Brisbane Go Club, and always a pleasure to talk to and play with, often with his close friend Sam Nakagawa.
