SUMMARY:2026 SGC 13x13 Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The Sydney Go Club will hold its first 13 x 13 tournament at the Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club\, located at 117 Ryedale Road\, West Ryde\, on Sunday\, 24th May 2026. \nAfter receiving many requests\, we are excited to host our first 13×13 tournament. The use of a smaller board will lead to faster-paced games with a focus on fighting\, bringing to mind the phrase “a knife fight in a telephone box”. This event is intended as a fun experience for all players and will challenge your ability to adapt. While some 19×19 theories may be applicable\, you’ll discover that many familiar full board joseki are less effective in this format. \nWe estimate that each game will last about 50 minutes\, and the timetable has been set with this in mind. However\, if it becomes clear that adjustments are needed\, the schedule may be changed accordingly. \nPayment and registration here \nMore details can be found here

DESCRIPTION:The Sydney Go Club is proud to announce the 2026 NSW Go Championships will be held at the Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club\, 117\, Ryedale Road\, West Ryde on Sunday 5th July 2026. \nThe event is open to all Go players but because of space limitations there is a limit of 50 players. When the 50 player limit is reached new registrations will be placed in a wait list. \nThe entry fee is $40 with registration closing at 5:00pm\, Saturday 4th July – if you have not registered you cannot play.  Registrations without payment are not accepted. \nDue to time constraints\, there is no “on the day” registration and game clocks will be started at 10:15am. \nClick here to register and pay.

DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Top Town Cup is a prestigious Go/Weiqi tournament that will be held at the Top Town Restaurant\, 5th floor of the Mandarin Centre\, 65 Albert Ave\, Chatswood NSW 2067\, Australia on Sunday 4th October. The event will start at 10:00am with entry from 9:45am. \nThe event is open to all Go/Weiqi players but because of space limitations there is a maximum limit of 64 players. The match divisions will be determined by the number of entrants\, with each division limited to 16 players.
