2023 Korean Ambassador’s Cup

The Korean Ambassador’s Cup will be held at the Ryde-Eastwood Leagues club on 1st October.  Thanks to the efforts of Mr Yang Jaeho (9p) the Korean Ambassador to Australia will deliver the opening address.  Mr Yang, Secretary General of the Korean Baduk Association, will also be at the event and will be available to review games from the Open division.

The Open division is for strong dan players with no handicaps. This division is recommended for 5 dan players and above and is limited to 16 players
The dan handicap division is recommended for players 1 kyu to 5 dan.
The kyu handicap division is recommended for all kyu players.
Junior player division is for people under 16.

The Open division will have four rounds with players having 20 minutes each plus 3 x 30secs byo-yomi. The Dan and kyu handicap tournaments will have 5 rounds with players having 20 minutes plus 3 x 20 secs byo-yomi.  The junior player division will have 6 rounds with 15 minutes plus 3 x 20 seconds byo-yomi.

The entry fee is $30 with a concession rate of $20.  The top three players in each division will receive a trophy, while the top three juniors will receive a medal and certificate. Please register using https://aga-tournament.square.site/

We are limited to 16 places in the Open division and 50 places overall so it is important to register and pay as soon as possible, if all places are filled you will not be able to enter the tournament. Payment is required to complete registration.
