The Australian Go Association uses its Rep-Point system to select candidates for international tournaments. Full details of the process can be found at https://australiango.asn.au/aga-rep-points/

In recent years the AGA has received invitations for players from specific groups including University Students, players under 18 years old, female players and players over 45 years old.

While the rep points system is our mainstay, we need to know who would be prepared to represent Australia in those groups. To assist the selection process for 2026, we are asking people to register their interest each of these four categories.  People should only complete an expression of interest if they are a member of the AGA, qualify and are prepared to travel overseas.

It should be noted that most tournaments pay half the airfare and most, if not all or the local food and accommodation.

If you are under 18, your parent needs decide if they are prepared for you to represent Australia overseas.  If so, they need to go to this link and complete the information.
